Zimbabwe tourism boomed in the ’90s and then went through some tough years in the 2000s, but has re-emerged in recent years as a safe, welcoming country where the resilience of the people shines through. We are especially proud of Zimbabwe’s Professioal guides – who emerge after a long and technical training as some of the best in the world and lead walking safaris into the heart of the bush.
We have explored all areas of the country and can give you the best advice on where to visit – from the game-rich National Parks of Mana Pools, Hwange to the scenically beautiful Matusadona, on Lake Kariba and Matobo National Park, famed for its balancing rock scenery. Lesser-known areas are Gonerezhou National Park and the Save Valley conservancy as well as Malilangwe Private reserve. Touring Zimbabwe must include time in the beautiful mountainous region of The Eastern Highlands.
Of course, Victoria Falls is its most famous destination and it is a very impressive sight and the once small town has blossomed but not lost its charm. These days there are a huge amount of activities on offer whilst visiting the waterfalls. Rafting, helicopter flights, sunset cruises, fishing for the elusive tiger fish and adrenalin activities! Most people stay 2-3 days but could easily stay longer – the camps along the upper Zambezi are becoming a very popular place to rest and relax post-safari.
