Botswana

Destination Botswana

As our old ‘playing ground’, we know the country extremely well and have visited and revisited many times. The Savuti area of Chobe National Park and the Central Kalahari Game Reserve are among our favourites – but the Okavango is really the jewel in the crown for Botswana.

This amazing inland waterway which swells between July and October fed by the rains from Angola is one of the largest inland Deltas in the world and it is an amazing must-see destination!

Due to their proximity, the Okavango, Moremi & Chobe National Parks combine well together – especially for Mobile camping Safaris – a type of safari Botswana is well known for, not your average ‘crawl into a tent camping though – these can be done in style with ensuite tents and showers and are great value for groups and families and there are also set departure trips for solo travellers to join

Other less well-known areas such as the Central Kalahari, Magadikgadi Pans and Tsodillo Hills are also great places to include on your safaris. We choose the best destinations for your budget and time of year travelling.

Fly around Lodge safaris are the most popular using the unique air charter ‘taxi’ service of small Cessna planes hopping between lodges dropping off and picking up passengers!

However, we can also arrange Mobile camping safaris and self-drive options – the latter is much more challenging than other countries due to the nature of the roads – but guides can be hired to accompany and it is a great adventure!

Botswana Best Value Trip

This is a great safari that combines the wonderful Mana Pools and Hwange National Parks with a few days at Victoria Falls.

You get around using small inter-camp flights. Both Mana Pools and Hwange are renowned for their game viewing and walking safaris and offer diverse and contrasting habitats.

Mid Range Botswana Trip

Zambia is an amazing country with several good wildlife areas. Kafue National Park is the largest Park in Zambia and this safari highlights the Park’s different areas.

You will be staying at two lodges in contrasting areas. This is combined with Livingstone, the Zambia side of the Victoria Falls, staying along the Zambezi River.

Botswana Epic Safari

Namibia is a vast country and because of this, a good way to see the highlights is to fly around. This safari does just that.

You will visit the famous desolate beauty of the Skeleton Coast, see the unique environment & wildlife species of the south-western Namib Desert & take part in epic game viewing at Etosha National Park.
