Safari Styles

Safari Styles

In each of the destinations we sell, there are a lot of safari styles. Whether you are looking for a family-friendly safari, an active escape or a guided tour around a country, we can select the best safari style for you,

Zimbabwe and Zambia are well known for their walking safaris and Botswana is the land of the mobile camping safari.

Both Zimbabwe and Namibia are fantastic countries to explore on a guided tour with a vehicle and driver or as a self-drive.

We have a good knowledge of all options in each country.

Lodge
Safaris

We choose tried and tested Lodges from all comfort levels and to suit all budgets. Lodges can vary from simple tented camps to luxurious camps with air conditioning!

There is something to suit everyone but the choice is often overwhelming, but with our firsthand knowledge we like to choose an eclectic mix to suit your requests and budget.

Family
Safaris

A private mobile camping safari suits adventurous families with children over 10 years. It’s a true bush experience with camping under the stars, bucket showers and your own personal guide.

Many Lodges and safari operators offer reduced rates or even ‘kids go free ’in certain months, so contact us to know more and plan a memorable family holiday!

Guided
Tours

A fantastic way to meet the local people and experience the country at ground level, a guided tour can be for 2 persons in a small touring car with a driver or small family groups in a minibus.

We can arrange the vehicle, driver, accommodation and all activities for your guided tour all under one roof.

Mobile Camping
Safaris

A mobile camping safari is available in various levels of comfort and is the quintessential safari experience. Mobile camping safaris can go off the beaten track and usually use bush campsites where there are no fences or facilities.

They are great for a family or small group of friends who want to get away from the crowds and sit around a campfire listening to stories about the bush from your guide.

Honeymoon
Safaris

Honeymoons are often a ‘once in a lifetime’ holiday to celebrate a very important event- getting married! – with a blend of romance, relaxation and adventure.

The Lodges and safari operators really make honeymoons a real treat with many special activities such as private bush dinners or drinks and always bubbly or flowers in the room to welcome the couple… and sometimes special deals for the bride, often offering 50% discounts.

Solo
Safaris

Wanting to travel to Africa but don’t have anyone to travel with – fear not! Travelling solo is easy, we have many options perfect for the single traveller. The best news is many Lodges do not charge a single supplement in certain seasons (generally January to May and November and December) so this is a great time of year to plan a trip.

Special Interest and Active Safaris

In this category of safaris, we feature safaris for bird watching, horse riding, canoeing, cycling and historic tours. Whatever your unique set of interests may be, we can curate an adventure to accommodate your passion and budget.

We can tailor a tour to suit your specific interests and passions calling on the expertise of local guides who specialise in your field of interest.

Self
drive
Safaris

These are a great way for you to really see and explore the country you are visiting and also meet the people. We can assist you with hiring a car, planning a route and booking accommodation and camping in the area.

Travel Wild Africa deals with several reputable car hire companies in each country, who give an informative handover and training before the trip starts and are on standby during the trip.
