Namibia and Zimbabwe are great ‘exploring countries’ with a relatively good road network using a standard or 4WD car.
Self-driving in Botswana & Zambia through the National Parks are a bit more challenging as areas are remote and some tracks are tough.

Most car hires will come with a mobile phone or Sat phone so you can be in contact in emergencies. We also give basic trip notes and maps.
